How could she be so stupid?

Martha McKay became friends with the person who murdered her mother and cousin. The friendship began by exchanging letters with her mothers killer, Travis Lewis, while he was in prison serving a 28.5 year prison sentence. Even after Travis Lewis was released from prison their friendship continued for a while, but ended when Travis Lewis murdered Martha McKay and left her bloody body wrapped in blankets in the same house where he murdered her mother and cousin 22 years earlier.

Why would a person set out to befriend their mothers killer and ignore their obvious violent past? A clue to that answer might be that Martha McKay was American and a practicing Buddhist. How many times have traditional Americans been demonized and told we are bad people, and are responsible for so many past grievances with other groups of people by our ruling class? The number is too many times to count. This poison has become rooted deep in American conscientiousness for many traditional Americans. Would Martha McKay have pursued friendship with her mothers killer if he had a different skin color? Does this friendship have something to do with white guilt, or virtue signaling?

Modern American culture exposes people to all kinds of threats; with ideas and values that get people hurt and killed. This story is just a microcosm of the damage done by the left to traditional Americans.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
