Hate and division are growing in America.
NHL hockey player, Matt Petgrave, was arrested today for manslaughter. Matt Petgrave killed fellow hockey player, Adam Johnson, when he intentionally kicked him in the neck with his ice skate during a hockey game. The main stream media called it a "freak accident," when it was obviously intentional. Does the media's reaction have anything do with Matt Petgrave being Black and Adam Johnson being White?
NBC News left out the race of those involved in the death of Jonathan Lewis, when reporting his murder. See twitter post below. Jonathan Lewis was a 17 year old White kid who defended his smaller friend from a crowd of Black teenagers who decided to beat Jonathon Lewis so bad he died from his injuries. Compare that to another NBC report when a Black teenager was murdered by a White man. In this story, NBC included the race of those involved in the headlines.
