In America if a public figure is caught smoking a cigarette it's frowned upon, but if they smoke marijuana, then it's OK. I find this funny, because I think pot is worse than tobacco because it screws with your mind. Long term effects aren't known yet, but I imagine it won't be good. Americans are programmed by media to react this way, and the younger the generation is the worse the reaction.
