I think it was President Bill Clinton who pounded the largest nail in the coffin for American manufacturing. At one time everything was made in America and we were a manufacturing powerhouse, but American manufacturing is disappearing and being transferred to foreign countries. This enables big business to do even bigger business, but American factory workers lose good paying jobs.
It was recently discovered that Harley Davidson is having a 350cc and 500cc motorcycle made in China by Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Group Co, and both models are primarily for the Indian market. Zhejiang is the largest motorcycle manufacturer in China. As of right now, Harley Davidson dealerships in USA can order these bikes for use only for the Harley Davidson Riding Academy. It will be interesting to see if these motorcycles become available for the American market.
Unless these bike outshine the competition in one way or another, I don't see them competing well against Japanese entry level motorcycles. Harley Davidson doesn't have a good track record of having motorcycles built by other manufacturers and using the bikes to compete against other brands, but we will see.

Ross Perot warning American's about Bill Clinton's NAFTA. Nobody listened, and globalist Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush laughed at his statement. Perot was right!
